The 2016 Angelique de Monbousquet is deep garnet-purple colored and features bold scents of crushed blackberries, warm plums and raspberry pie with hints of dried herbs, underbrush and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals loads of minerally sparks interspersed with the vibrant red and black fruit layers, finishing pleasantly chewy.

From the stellar team at Château Pavie, the 2016 Angélique de Monbousquet is a sexy, medium to full-bodied, incredibly delicious Saint-Emilion that boasts a huge nose of blackcurrants, chocolate, tobacco leaf, and graphite. It has outstanding purity, ripe tannins, and is one seriously good mouthful of wine. Drink it over the coming decade.

Unique aromas of cherries, ash and grilled meat. Full body with juicy tannins and round texture. Delicious finish. Very soft and approachable. Hard not to drink now. Better in 2024.

The 2016 Angélique de Monbousquet is dark and powerful in the glass, with plenty of black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, sweet spice and leather. Ripe and fleshy in the glass, the 2016 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next few years.

The 2016 Angelique de Monbousquet is a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon cropped 41 hectoliters per hectare. It has crisp and nicely focused bouquet with pleasant chalky notes infusing the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, quite a masculine Saint Emilion with a lovely saline bite on the finish. Enjoy this over several years after bottling

The 2016 Angélique de Monbousquet is an attractive second wine from Monbousquet. Black cherry, chocolate, cloves, new leather and licorice give the 2016 its dark personality and dense, rich feel. The Angélique is made for near- and medium-term drinking.

(60 Merlot, 30 Cabernet Franc, 10 Cabernet Sauvignon) | 100% one-year-old barrels | 14.2% alc. Concentrated and a little gravy-like and tough, this is a very tannic wine and the oak grain is overpowering. With some fruit cowering in the corner this is a difficult wine to approach, but time will help to ameliorate some of the excesses, but not all. 16++

Barrel Sample. The second wine of this Château is made by the same team as Château Pavie. It is concentrated while keeping a fine sense of crisp fruit, with gently structured tannins to lend support.
