Earthy, tobacco driven, dark red fruits with a rustic type of charm, although the wine seems cleaner, fresher and a bit softer than in previous vintages. Much of that credit belongs to bringing in Hubert de Bouard as their consultant starting with the 2015 vintage.

Beaucoup de finesse et de précision dans un style qui n’est pas sans rappeler un beau saint-julien. L’aboutissement du travail effectué par Paz Espejo depuis plusieurs années à la propriété, avec l’étincelle d’élégance apportée par sa nouvelle collaboration avec Hubert de Boüard. Grande expression classique du centre du Médoc avec des notes de cèdre et d’épices douces, tannin noble. Grand rapport qualité-prix.

The 2015 Lanessan is an attractive, mid-weight wine that will drink well upon release. Dark red cherry, plum and sweet floral notes add to the wine's open-knit personality and considerable appeal. Tasted two times.

Blackberry and black licorice aromas and flavors. Full body, chewy tannins and bright acidity. Impressive concentration for the vintage. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 4% petit verdot and 1% cabernet franc.

The 2013 Lanessan has quite a punchy, fruit-driven bouquet with well-integrated oak, a Lanessan with more sense of purpose than I have found in recent vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with fine blackberry and raspberry fruit, fine tannin, leading to a smooth and harmonious finish, which lingers nicely in the mouth. You know, this is the best Lanessan for a long time, perchance because Mon. De Bouard is consulting? Drink 2019-2032
