From the Janoueix stable, this is firm, bright and bristling in colour and flavour - an archetypal modern St-Émilion. It's not as successful in 2017 as in the recent past, as the character of the fruit is just a little too soft to support the oak, and it could do with a touch more light and air, but there's still plenty to enjoy. A well-made wine for medium-term drinking.
