The 2015 Caillou Blanc de Talbot has an attractive butterscotch, white peach and almond-scented bouquet that is well defined and already quite generous. The palate is fresh on the entry with a pleasant waxy texture. However, I found a slight bitterness on the back palate and the finish seems to undo the good work of the nose, with a slight metallic taint on the aftertaste. Hopefully that will be addressed during élevage.
