La Vieille Prune 42 ° - Distillery Louis Roque
In Roque, he has been a distiller from father to son since 1835. Louis, third generation of burners, decided in 1905 to fly with his own wings and moved to Souillac, instead of an old convent. The young man quickly became the local specialist of the waters of plum lives ... His know-how was soon recognized and Louis Roque began to distill on his behalf the "plums" of plums provided by the farmers of the region. It keeps its production in old oak barrels where the alcohol slowly ages, under supervision. In his cellars scattered in the city, he devoted himself to breeding, meticulous assemblages, and his house in the heart of Souillac, serves as a point of sale. The character becomes a departmental glory, and marries one of his daughters to the count Duffour de Raymond. It is she who will take the house in her hands at the death of the creator, watching until her last days, scrupulously respecting the precepts of her father. This know-how, transmitted for five generations, ensures the perenniality of the Distillery installed since 1995 in a building of character and today managed by the grandson of Louis Roque.
