Sauternes Golden Angel 2016
The Sauternes appellation is located about 40 kilometers south-east of Bordeaux, between the Garonne in the north and the Ciron valley in the west. These two rivers influence the climate: the alternation of wet mornings and hot, sunny afternoons favors the development of noble rot: botrytis cinerea. This fungus causes the Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle grape varieties to have maximum sugar concentration by attacking the water contained in the berries.
