Saint James Old 7 years 43 °
Saint James finds its origins in St Peter of Martinique in 1765, thanks to the Reverend Father Edmond Lefebure, Superior of the Convent of the Brothers of Charity, and alchemist scholar. In the utmost secrecy, this worthy religious fashioned a white alcohol of a quality never reached before, cane brandy then called "Guildive" or "Tafia". To facilitate the sale of the production to the settlers of New England, it was decided in 1765 that this rum would be called Saint James: name with strong Anglo-Saxon consonance and name of a great prestigious family of the British kingdom . In 1882, the Saint James brand was deposited as well as the famous square bottle, the first in the world, designed to be stored rationally in the hold of vessels, which allowed a reduction of the breakage during the great storms. From this period, the Saint James brand has constantly exported its know-how recognized in all the countries of the world.
