Rhum Karukera Old Special Reserve 42 ° - Distillery Espérance
In November 1493 Christopher Columbus dismounted for the first time in Guadeloupe at the place that would become the commune of Sainte-Marie. Originally known as Karukera by the Caribbean Indians, Guadeloupe saw the founding of the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte Marie in 1895. It is in the heart of this domain that the oldest distillery on the island, the Espérance distillery, hectares of plantations, an exceptional rum: Karukera rum. Raised under the hot sun of the islands and bottled at the place of production, the Karukera range of rums is one of the most qualitative collections of the French West Indies.
