Rénovatio Utopia - Beaujolais Rosé 2016 - Mommessin
Heir to Cluniac monks who cleared and planted in vines the lands they owned around Macon, Maison Mommessin finds its origins in southern Burgundy. It is indeed in Grange-Saint-Pierre, old dependency of the Abbey of Cluny whose key will become the emblem of the house, that Jean-Marie Mommessin is established in 1865. The purchase of the famous Clos de Tart in 1932 sealed the establishment of the house in the heart of Burgundy, before its headquarters were transferred to Quincié-en-Beaujolais, after more than a century of presence in Mâconnais. This double filiation, is the exception of Mommessin wines resulting from a meeting between the quest for excellence that characterizes Burgundy and the explosion of taste that makes the greatness of Beaujolais. From now on, it is in the middle of the green hills of Beaujolais that the history of the Maison Mommessin is written between vineyards and know-how of trader-breeder steeped in Burgundy traditions.
