Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Marquis de Terme slips sensuously out of the glass with notes of plum preserves, baked black cherries and blackcurrant pastilles plus wafts of cinnamon toast, allspice, underbrush and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers wonderful vivacity and freshness, with a firm, grainy texture framing the bright, pure black fruits, finishing earthy.

Rich and explosive, the 2019 Marquis de Terme sure makes a statement. A rush of inky dark fruit hits the palate, followed by sweet floral and spice notes that develop with a bit of coaxing. More than anything else, the 2019 is a wine of real density and succulence. This is an impressive wine.

90-92+ The 2019 Château Marquis De Terme should be another outstanding wine from this terrific estate. Deep purple, with a great nose of blue fruits, violets, new leather, and spicy wood, it's medium-bodied, has beautiful overall balance, plenty of ripe tannins, and good acidity, all making for a brilliant Margaux that's going to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and keep for 15 years or more.

The 2019 Marquis de Terme has a crisp, slightly conservative bouquet at the moment, perfectly correct but maybe just needing more flair to stand out from the crowd. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins and well judged acidity. It feels a little compact at the moment but it should gain some fleshy by the time of bottling. Again, I would like to see more personality come through here, though I remain optimistic as second and third bottles evinced a more vivacious Margaux in the offing.

Violets and spice, coupled with dark chocolate and black juicy plums, bring you to a silky, sexy, soft and polished center. From there, the medium-bodied wine on the palate serves up all its layers of ripe, sweet, sensuously textured fruits. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot. 93-95 Pts

A polished, fruity red with blackberry, blackcurrant and walnut-husk character. It's full-bodied with ripe tannins and a fresh finish. Lovely at the end.

A pretty blackcurrant fruit on the nose, with a light gravel impression; nicely balanced
midweight, with a fresh acidity and moderate tannin; a fresh, blackcurrant Cabernet fruit,
new-wood-tinged, quite juicy, with a gentle Margaux-Merlot fleshiness and finesse, and
good light length. A touch dry in new wood texture, but this will be a pleasing Margaux in a decade or so.
