Maranges 1er Cru "La Fussière" 2015 - Jean Claude Boisset
Close to the Santenay appellation, the Maranges appellation is located on the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune. Planted mainly in Pinot Noir, the hillsides forming this vineyard are exposed mainly south / south-east, with an altitude oscillating between 240 and 400 meters. Spread over almost 35 ha with a beautiful exposure to the south, the climate "La Fussière" has a mainly marly soil: there are gray and blue marl covered with limestone scree. The name "Fussière" is derived from the ancient French Faisse or Faissa which means "strip of land". This refers to the terraced cultivation that we find on this steep hillside.
