The 2015 Connetable de Talbot seemed very woody on the nose, so much so that it obscured the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannin, a little hollow on the mid-palate with an attenuated finish. I was hoping for more, to be honest.

The 2015 Connétable de Talbot is an attractive second wine from Talbot. Sweet red cherry pit, white pepper and mint give the 2015 much of its lithe, feminine personality. The Connétable shows the more delicate side of Saint-Julien and is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.
