Château Reysson - Haut Médoc 2012 - Cru Bourgeois
After the beautiful outing in early April, the very wet weather conditions of spring raised some concerns and forced us to become more vigilant in the vineyard. But the clay-limestone soil of Reysson, unusual in this part of Haut-Médoc, played its role perfectly, avoiding during the great heat of the end of July and August an excessive stress of the plant. The harvest, although relatively small given the elimination of heterogeneous clusters after a very extensive flowering, was the earliest of all our vineyards, but the later in the history of the estate. It is of good quality, and rewards the rigorous work of the whole year.
