The Château Mazeyres 2014 has a Burgundian bouquet: quite pure and airy with soft red cherries and strawberry scents, developing a warm, gravel scent with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and crisp acidity. There is not great depth here, but fine tension all the way through to the finish. This should drink well over 10-12 years, a satisfying, if not quite compelling, Pomerol from Alain Moueix.
