Vinous

The 2015 Les Grands Chênes offers arguably the best value pound for pound of any of the wines in Bernard Magrez's stable. Black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and dark spices abound. Virile and imposing, the 2015 is a big, intense wine with considerable personality. The tannins need to be polished a bit, but there is plenty to like. This is a strong effort for the year. The blend is 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Sauvignon.
