Prime cherries, cedar and tobacco frame the wine. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, bright, offering red cherry and a sharp, rudimentary, cranberry finish. The wine was made from blending 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc.

The 2017 Clement Pichon has a well-defined and quite floral bouquet with crushed rose petal and violet infusing the blueberry and blackberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly grainy tannin. This is often pushed too hard in the winery but I discern a little more restraint here, meaning there is more freshness on the finish even if I can still feel the dry wood tannins.

Grossartiger Cru Bourgeois, der an die Erfolge der Vorjahre anknüpft und in diesem Jahr deutlich herausragt. Viel Bordeaux zum kleinen Preis.
