One of the pleasant surprises of the IMW Saint Emilion horizontal, even though the nose is lacking some vigour with light raspberry leaf and a hint of sous-bois. But the medium-bodied palate is well balanced with ripe tannins, crisp red-berried fruit: wild strawberry, red cherries and a touch of pomegranate. I like the poise and the refinement on the finish. This is a pretty little wine. Drink now-2014. Tasted November 2008.

Sanft aufhellendes Granat-Rubin. Eigenwilliges BOuquet, kompottige Anflüge, gekochte Zwetschgen, etwas kühl und erdig, im Gaumen pelzige Adstringenz, metallischer blechiger Nachgeschmack (wie eine angefangene Ananasbüchse im Kühlschrank), gar keinen Spass machend trotz vorhandenen Potenzials.

Simple and fruity, with wet earth and berry character. Medium-bodied, and a silky, clean finish. Best after 2008. 3,165 cases made.

This pinched claret reveals little texture, charm, or character. Moreover, its austere tannins are problematic. I will be anxious to re-visit this wine after bottling.

Vin indifférent, sans la précision qu'on attend aujourdh'ui d'un cru de prestige et surtout sans le corps permis par le millésime. A-t-on suffisamment discipliné la vigne ?
