Château Belgrave 5th Classified Growth - Haut Médoc - 2011
Continuous adaptation of the vineyard's management (foliar surfaces, tillage, temporary sowing, etc.), under record water deficits, avoids blocking vegetation of the most exposed gravel-sand plots. Great vigilance on the sanitary conditions of the vineyard during the wet summer, at the price of severe grapes in the vineyard, ensures a harvest of healthy berries, with quite satisfactory maturity, especially for the later grape varieties. Gentle vinification, medium vatting and careful extraction lead to elegant and expressive wines.
