Ange d'Or Sauternes 2015
The Sauternes appellation is located about forty kilometers south-east of Bordeaux, between the Garonne to the north and the valley of Ciron to the west. These two rivers influence the climate: the alternation of hot and sunny mornings and afternoons favors the development of noble rot: the botrytis cinerea. This mushroom causes a maximum concentration of sugar on the grape varieties Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle by attacking the water contained in the berries.
