The 2020 Mont-Pérat has a deep purple-black color, rolling out of the glass with expressive notions of baked black plums, blackberry pie and chocolate-covered cherries, plus touches of dried lavender and smoked meats. The medium to full-bodied palate offers mouth-coating, dried herbs-laced black berry flavors with a pleasantly chewy texture and bags of freshness, finishing on a minerally note.

Le nez s’ouvre avec intensité sur des notes radieuses de framboises et cassis frais. Fidèle à ces fruits pré-sentis, la bouche se fait gourmande, ample, charnue et vive, enveloppée par une matière très fruitée, et des tannins veloutés. La puissance grimpe crescendo, tandis que l’ensemble reste concentré avec, en finale, quelques notes légères de torréfaction.

The 2020 Mont-Pérat is nicely done. More restrained than it often is, the 2020 exudes aromatic depth and class from start to finish. Crushed flowers, mint, spice and cedar lift a core of sweet red berry fruit. Impeccable.

The 2020 Mont-Pérat has quite a high-toned nose of black cherries, India ink and light violet scents, gaining delineation with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity and black plum and a hint of licorice toward the finish. Good body and length for a "mere" Bordeaux AC. I can see this giving a decade’s worth of drinking pleasure.
