Garrigue Blanc - Castle of Lascaux - Languedoc 2016
At the northern end of the Languedoc appellation, at the foot of the Cevenol causse, the Château de Lascaux stretches over 45 hectares stolen in the wild. The predominantly Mediterranean climate is influenced by fresher continental influences. Not far from the village of Vacquières, this terroir is at 130 meters altitude on a slope of very low slope exposed south-east. Its clay-limestone soil has been formed by the alteration of colluviums: clay loams and chalk fragments originating from the erosion of the slope. This soil rests on marls and marl-limestones, which ensures to him in depth a good reserve of water. These parcels have been in organic farming since 2009.
