Ripe and juicy, this sports fun black currant and blackberry notes, along with sweet tobacco and sanguine accents. The fruit drives nicely through the finish, where an alder edge plays out, too. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2029. 3,390 cases made, 100 cases imported.

Checking in as 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2020 Clos Puy Arnaud was aged 10% in new barrels, with a portion of the blend aged in amphora and demi-muids. It has lots of darker mulberry-like fruits, some floral and earthy nuances, medium to full body, and a layered, mouth-filling texture delivering lots of charm. It's going to keep for a solid 8-10 years.

The 2020 Clos Puy Arnaud is one of the great wines of this vintage. Rich, deep and exquisitely layered, Clos Puy Arnaud shows how compelling Côtes de Castillon can be. Inky red fruit, blood orange, spice and mocha all race across the palate. Silky tannins wrap around the plush inviting finish. The saline energy and precision here is just unreal. The 2020 was aged in a combination of barrels of different sizes and 1/3rd amphora. This is a wine of tremendous character and personality.

The 2020 Clos Puy Arnaud is quite understated on the nose, but don't dismiss this because it unfolds wonderfully with aeration, quite classic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very supple, nicely detailed with a terroir-driven, rather refined and tensile finish, a hint of graphite on the aftertaste. Excellent.

Great purity and intensity on the nose, very floral and almost Burgundian-like with rose petal, violet, wild raspberry and dark berry notes. The palate has great density, concentration and extract with fine polish and detail, very good balance between high ripeness and fresh acidity, long, grainy and layered finish, very fine already.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2020 Clos Puy Arnaud bursts with lifted notes of stewed black plums, Morello cherries and black raspberries, plus suggestions of potpourri, unsmoked cigars and rose hip tea. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled and refreshing, delivering a great intensity of red and black berry flavors with a plush texture, finishing long and fragrant. Very pretty!

The 2020 Clos Puy Arnaud is fabulous. Inky, deep and structured, the 2020 captures all the best qualities of the vintage. Intense mineral and savory Cabernet notes wrap around a core of inky dark fruit. The tannins are pretty potent, too. Ultimately it will be interesting to see how the 2020 comes together, but it is a hugely promising wine endowed with tremendous pedigree. A stand out.

The 2020 Clos Puy Arnaud has a light blackberry, raspberry and rose petal nose, plus a hint of elderflower in the background. The oak is nicely integrated, although it needs more vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet candied entry, bitter red fruit infused with orange peel, modest depth, and a slightly savory/dried blood finish where the Cabernet Franc (25%) makes its presence felt. This should age with style.

A burst of ripe berry fruit on the nose, this has the most gorgeous depth of expression. More tannic than in many years, but not bitter or tight. An excellent wine, walking the line of power and sappy juice. Purity of fruit expression is clear. 3.32pH. Certified biodynamic.10% new oak the rest in large sized oak vats and amphora. Unfiltered and unfined.

Pourpre violacé. Bouquet subtil, complexe, révélant des notes de mûres et de griottes suivies de nuances crayeuses. En bouche le vin a de la vivacité, de la fraîcheur. Il est doté de tannins élégants et fins tout en ayant du grip. Il se révèlent en fin de bouche et sont en phase avec la fraîcheur de la structure acide. Un vin sapide et tonique.  2024-2035
