The Château d’Arsac 2014 has a slight over-egged nose at first, but with aeration it gains a little more freshness and delineation with attractive gravelly scents. The palate is medium-bodied, a little austere, perhaps, but nicely balanced and elegant on the finish. Perhaps one could argue this is straitlaced, but it remains a satisfactory contribution to the vintage.
