The Traille 2015 - Costières de Nîmes - Bonpas
Of Roman origin, the Costières de Nîmes vineyard is one of the oldest in Europe. The wines of Costières-de-Nîmes were appreciated by the Greeks and Romans, and were served to the Popes of Avignon, and exported from the sixteenth century. At the end of the nineteenth century, the vineyard was devastated by Phylloxera, followed by a dark period that will end in 1950, thanks to Philippe Lamour who restructured professional wine organizations. Located near Avignon, in the heart of the Rhone Valley, Bonpas watches, from the top of its fortifications since 1318, on the "Good Passage" between Rome and Avignon. First building of Côtes-du-Rhône South, it opens its doors to the discovery of the terroirs of the Crus du Rhône. These wines are the legacy of 7 centuries of tradition and patient work.
