The Tiare du Pape 2012 - House Bouachon - Châteauneuf du Pape
In the 14th century when the Popes settled in Avignon, they spent the summer in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, giving their name to this small village still overlooked today by the remains of the castle which was their residence. They favored the production of wine in this vineyard, especially during the reign of John XXII. In reference to the glorious papal history of the vineyard, this cuvée is a tribute. Indeed, the "Tiare" designates the circular headdress, surrounded by three crowns, carried by the Pope during solemn ceremonies. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the jewel and the roots of Maison Bouachon, established more than a century ago in the summer residence of the Popes.
