Nights Saint Georges 2012 - Louis Jadot
Louis Henry Denis Jadot founded the Louis Jadot House in 1859. The story began in 1826 in the vineyards with the acquisition by the Jadot family of Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules. Louis Henry Denis Jadot quickly develops the wine business in the markets of Northern Europe which he knows well because his family is from Belgium. His son Louis Jean Baptiste succeeded him in 1900 and continued development by purchasing many vineyards, including Corton Charlemagne and Chevalier Montrachet Les Demoiselles. Louis Auguste Jadot finally will develop particularly export to England and the United States, following his meeting in 1945 with Rudy Kopf, founder of Kobrand Corporation. All the wines of the Maison Louis Jadot are wines of Denomination of Controlled Origin of the Great Wine Burgundy. Maison Louis Jadot now operates 240 hectares in Côte d'Or, Mâconnais and Beaujolais. A single label for our entire range: the Bacchus head, the frieze, the color represent the signature of our house: a commitment to quality for each bottle, whatever its place in the Burgundy hierarchy.
