A wine I haven’t tasted before, the 2012 Les Griffons de Pichon Baron is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Soft, luxuriously fruity, and deep ruby/purple-colored, this is a seductive, lush, in-your-face style of Pauillac to drink over the next 7-10 years.

A fine red with blueberry, blackberry and spice character. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Pure cabernet sauvignon. Stylish wine for the vintage. Drink in 2017.
