Located on the southern slope of the Costes chain in Lambesc, this domain belonging to the family Lefèvre for more than 10 years consists of 20ha of Vines in AOC Coteaux of Aix en Provence and 2 hectares of olive trees. The sandy loamy soil, ideal for the cultivation of the Vineyard, covers archaeological treasures. Indeed, two excavation campaigns (one in 1971 and the other in 2005) revealed an important and luxurious Roman occupation (1st century BC in the 5th century AD) and a Christian chapel of the VI century cemetery and stone sarcophagi. The site seems to have been abandoned towards the tenth or eleventh century after an occupation of a thousand years. It was at this period that the site and the surrounding lands were ceded to the abbey of St Victor in Marseille, giving it its current name. The monks of the abbey worked the land and planted the vineyard.
