Castle Roumieu - Sauternes - 2014
The Château Roumieu is a family property, transmitted from generation to generation, since the beginning of the XVIIIth Century. The name of "Roumieu" comes from the name of one of the parcels; It means a place of passage for the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela, hence the presence of a scallop, emblem of the Castle, on the label. The wines of Château Roumieu are placed in the line of Sauternes of great guard that one can taste from their youngest age in order to appreciate the great variety of the fruit aromas or to let evolution evolve over the years. There are then aromas of dried fruits, flowers (acacia or linden), citrus fruits, peaches, pineapples and roasted grains. Foie gras from the south-west and the most refined desserts will be the best wine of this Grand Vin de Sauternes.
