The 2015 Grand Corbin is a blend of 80% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, all from sandier, clay soils, aged in 30% new barrels. It offers classic red and black fruits, lots of underbrush and bouquet garni aromas and flavors, medium-bodied richness and lively acidity. It's a solid, balanced effort to drink over the coming 7-8 years.

The best ever from Grand Corbin, this wine offers a delicious profile of licorice, lush, dark, black raspberries and cocoa-covered plums. Sweet, fresh, silky with a bolder depth of flavor than in previous years.

The 2015 Grand Corbin is a blend of 77% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in 40% new oak. My sample showed too much new oak here, not in terms of percentage, but it did feel well integrated at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, a little forced here and brutish towards the finish.

Zesty, dark fruit aroma with a touch of mint and spice. Juicy, medium-weight palate. Sweet fruited but fresh. Has a certain classicism.2021-2030

Velouté, subtil, le vin ne manque pas de fond. Franc, souple, simple.

A deep, powerful wine, the 2015 Grand Corbin shows the more masculine side of Saint-Émilion. Powerful tannins wrap around a core of intense fruit, with melted road tar, gravel, graphite, cured meat and herb overtones that lend considerable nuance to the wine's super-distinctive profile. A note of white pepper confers energy, but the tannins remain a bit overpowering at this stage. Hubert de Boüard consults. Tasted two times.

Juicy and lively on the nose. Sweet and juicy with lots of pleasure. Stony finish. Potentially interesting. Drink 2022-2032

92–94. Barrel Sample. Dense tannins are balanced by rich black-fruit flavors. The attractive and stylish wine shows the generous nature of the vintage.
