Highly recommended by Stephen Brook.
Dense chocolatey nose, ripe plums. Suave and velvety, a modern-style claret with abndant fruit and spice. Powerful and long.

Big and powerful, this is a concentrated and complex wine. Blackberry fruit flavors are strongly based on a tannin structure that is lightly sustained by the wood aging. Merlot dominates the blend, giving a sheen to its richness. Drink from 2018.

A nice mouthful of traditional Bordeaux, with deep ruby/purple color with sweet black cherry and dusty, loamy soil notes in the background. This medium-bodied wine has very good concentration, light tannin and a distinct earthiness. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

Lots of blackcurrant, cherry and strawberry character to this red on the nose, before giving way to a full body, refined tannins, bright acidity and a long finish. Better in 2017.

Soft-edged plum and toasty vanilla notes show an underlying tobacco hint, finishing with an easy, caressing feel. Drink now. 14,000 cases made. –JM

The Cambon La Pelouse has a straightforward bouquet with light blackberry and briary scents that are safe and conservative. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins on the entry, but it demonstrates better balance and poise on the middle and finish that I expected. This could turn out to be a fine Haut Medoc after bottling. Tasted April 2013.

This fresh wine exhibits notes of cranberries, red and black cherries, forest floor and hints of white chocolate as well as background earth. An excellent texture and medium body suggest this sleeper of the vintage will drink well for 7-8 years.

The consultant for this consistently fine Haut-Medoc is Hubert de Bouard. Yields were 36 hectoliters per hectare in 2012, and the final blend was 52% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.

Ici, il y a du jus dans le vin, plein, harmonieux suave, c’est une gestion intelligente du potentiel du millésime. On le boira avec grand plaisir.

Drink 2016-2022
Very dark. Rich and inky. Sinewy and more framework than fruit. Some spice and sweetness but not enough to make it particularly user friendly.

A wine with a solid core of fruit with blueberries and raspberries. Full body with fine tannins and a long finish.
